New dad Xander Schauffele is healthy, happy heading into new year on his home course

Times-Standard
Xander Schauffele says there isn’t anything particularly unusual about his pre-round routine at the golf course compared to his peers on the PGA Tour.
“I mean, we all eat, we all warm up, we all putt, then we chip, or chip, then putt, then hit balls,” Schauffele said.
“I’m learning like just so slowly, you get like dad shoulder, neck’s all messed up, you know what I mean?” he said.
Schauffele hasn’t played a tournament since October, when he won the Baycurrent Classic in Japan, in order to get some extended family time.
Schauffele was 2017 Rookie of the Year after winning twice, including the Players Championship, and rising to No.
