Former AEW World Champion Samoa Joe was announced to have sustained a non-contact injury while training. On Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, Excalibur revealed that as a result, Joe has not been cleared to compete. Joe lost the title to MJF at Worlds End in a four-way match that also featured Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page. Prior to his injury, Joe was last seen wrestling “Speedball” Mike Bailey on the January 12th episode of AEW Dynamite. Joe won the title from Page at Full Gear in a steel cage match, but was only able to keep the title for 35 days.
