“The Boys” baddie Antony Starr will next star in a scripted Netflix series titled “Breakers,” from the creator of “Somewhere Boy” and production company behind “Baby Reindeer.”“Breakers” follows two best friends from America who go on a backpacking trip in Australia.
There, they encounter a seemingly perfect community of surfers and are drawn in by its leader, a charismatic and mysterious figure named Brando (Starr).
Production on the series has already begun in Western Australia, and filming will wrap in June.
“Breakers” marks the first Netflix series to shoot in Western Australia and is supported by local tax incentives.
Starr is coming off a five season run on Amazon Prime Video’s “The Boys,” which will air its final season in April.
