A Youngwood man will be extradited to Wisconsin after pleading guilty Wednesday to resisting arrest at a Hempfield fitness club. Police said Alvarez was wanted on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for allegedly absconding from supervision. A Wisconsin department spokesman told TribLive last month that Alvarez was believed to have been living in Illinois prior to his arrival in Pennsylvania. An out-of-uniform state trooper identified Alvarez inside an Anytime Fitness gym in Hempfield on Dec. 11 and attempted to take him into custody. As part of a plea deal finalized with prosecutors, Alvarez pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest and vandalism.
