Blues and jazz were such a big deal in Oklahoma City at one point. I’m always meeting new artists, and that’s one of the best parts about being in Oklahoma City right now. I would like to see this as something that speaks to the broader art scene here in Oklahoma City. I can think of 30 other artists in Oklahoma City that are just as deserving of a recognition like this.
