You know someone didn’t read books growing up when they constantly do these 7 things in conversation
[]
Silicon Canals
1) They interrupt constantly because they can’t hold a thoughtEver notice how some people can’t let you finish a sentence?
4) They mistake confidence for correctnessHere’s something I’ve noticed repeatedly: people who didn’t read much growing up often equate how strongly someone believes something with how true it must be.
They can’t circle back, can’t see connections between different parts of the discussion, can’t hold the whole conversation in their head at once.
Every conversation stays surface-level because they can’t build on earlier points or see how different ideas connect.
And I’m definitely not saying that reading automatically makes you a better conversationalist—we all know that person who constantly quotes obscure texts but can’t read a room.
