Ted Lasso star Phil Dunster is set to join the cast of Universal Pictures’ live-action How to Train Your Dragon 2. Marc Platt (Wicked) is producing via his Universal-based Marc Platt Productions alongside Adam Siegel, president of Marc Platt Productions. Universal has set a June 11, 2027 release date for the feature. Dunster is best known for his Emmy-nominated performance as the cocky, boastful “Jamie Tartt” in Apple TV’s hit Ted Lasso. Dunster will be seen alongside Steve Carell in the Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses comedy series Rooster for HBO.
