HAJIN: At least thirteen people were injured on Wednesday after the ceiling of a two-storey house collapsed in Chandergira village of Hajin in Bandipora district, where they had assembled to offer condolences. Officials said the incident occurred when people, including women, had gathered at the house of a former Fire and Emergency Services employee, Gh. One of the injured women told Kashmir Reader that they were sitting together in the room when the ceiling suddenly collapsed on them. The injured were identified as Sara Begum, Meema Begum, Shugufta Begum, Raja Begum, Haleema Begum, Sarwa Begum, Bilquesa Bano and Raja Bano, all residents of Chandergira village. Doctors at CHC Hajin said all the injured are in stable condition.
