Today, Governor Polis celebrated the Census Bureau vintage population estimates showing that Colorado’s population reached and exceeded six million for the first time ever, reaching 6,012,561 by July 1, 2025. “The secret is out, Colorado is the best place to live, work, play, start a family, and grow a business. The numbers don’t lie, and I am excited to see Colorado’s population grow despite trends across the nation,” said Governor Jared Polis. I look forward to welcoming even more people to Colorado as we move further into the new year.”Growth has ChallengesAs we know here in Chaffee County, growth comes with challenges; especially when the growth comes from urban populations unfamiliar with our country life.
