The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston sent out an internal email to staffers on Wednesday notifying them of an impending layoff. “The Museum only just notified us about who in our union is specifically on the layoff list. The museum previously underwent a restructuring and a series of layoffs in 2020, like many other institutions in the US. The museum also cited financial sustainability as the rationale for that decision. The museum did not respond to a request for comment at press time.
