(AURN News) — There is one Black Republican in the closely watched race for U.S. Senate in Texas. In the Republican primary, headlines have largely been dominated by two names: Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent U.S. Sen. John Cornyn. Rep. Wesley Hunt is also running for the Republican nomination and currently trails both candidates in primary polling. In a matchup between Hunt and Talarico, 47% of registered Texas voters support Hunt, compared to 44% who support Talarico. In a contest against Crockett, Hunt received 48% support, compared to 43% for Crockett.
