The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of upcoming bridge demolition work on KY 1259 over Interstate 75 in Whitley County. The existing KY 1259 bridge must be removed because it does not provide the necessary width and clearance to accommodate the additional travel lanes and improved roadway geometry associated with the interstate widening. KY 1259 ClosureKY 1259 over I-75 will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, February 9. Detour signage for KY 1259 will be installed prior to the closure.
