The day-long workshop will introduce residents and business professionals who are new to the islands within the last two years to the coastal ecosystems.
– The SCCF’s Marine Laboratory to see what researchers are doing to understand the waters in the estuaries of the Pine Island Sound.
– The SCCF’s headquarters to hear from Wildlife and Habitat Management staff on how the SCCF manages over 2,100 acres for the benefit of wildlife.
– The group will get out on the water on a Captiva Cruises motorized catamaran for an up-close look at the estuary.
