Private legal practitioner, Justice Abdulai, has outlined the procedure Member of Parliament for Kpandai, Matthew Nyindam, must follow before formally resuming his seat in Parliament after the Supreme Court restored his mandate. According to him, the first step is for Mr Nyindam to formally notify the Clerk of Parliament of the Supreme Court’s decision. “Indeed, my honourable friend Matthew Nyindam would have to employ the tools available by informing the Clerk of Parliament. The notification must be supported with the relevant court documents, including the orders or judgment delivered by the Supreme Court," he explained. With Parliament expected to reconvene shortly, the clarification addresses growing public interest over the legal and procedural steps required for Mr Nyindam’s return to legislative duties.
