The Kano State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, Ididiong James, for allegedly attacking his mother and unlawfully possessing an English Beretta pistol with eight rounds of ammunition. This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on Wednesday in Kano. She also noted that her son’s behaviour had changed after returning from a New Year celebration. The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, commended the mother for her courage and advised parents to closely monitor their children. “The actions of this mother are commendable, and we appreciate her bravery in standing up against her son’s violent behavior,” CP Bakori said.
