ROCHESTER, N.Y. — RFD got reports of a fire coming from the second floor of an apartment at 500 South Avenue on Wednesday, leading to a person being taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation. RFD told us that the fire started from an unattended cooking event, saying that no one was in the apartment room when they arrived. The fire was put out quickly, and the only damage was found in the kitchen, RFD said. A resident from the apartment complex, who wasn’t responsible for the fire, was taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.
