ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A second person has been sentenced 18 years to life in prison for a deadly shooting on Cuba Place in 2024. RELATED: UPDATE: Police identify man killed on Cuba Place; driver found shot in vehicleTimothy Brooks, 21, was previously convicted of murder by a Monroe County Jury. According to prosecutors, James Jackson Jr. was found sitting in the driver’s seat of a car that crashed into a pole with gunshot wounds. Marquez was sentenced to 23 years in prison, plus five years of post-release supervision. Brooks was also previously found guilty of attempted robbery and criminal possession of a weapon on an unrelated robbery.
