Eleanor Mone, senior captain of the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School girls’ varsity hockey team, surpassed the coveted 100-point barrier at a home game against Barnstable High School on Saturday. Head Coach Mallory Watts, who has coached Mone all four years of high school, said that watching Mone improve each year makes her proud. “Four years, 80 games, and getting 100 points, it’s really good,” said Watts. The girls’ hockey team is currently 5–7 this season, their next matchup is at home against Marshfield High School on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2 pm. They played the Falmouth High School Clippers at the Martha’s Vineyard Ice Arena on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 3 pm, after our print deadline.
