SCRANTON — An East Greenville man was sentenced to 7 years imprisonment and a term of supervised release for robbery and firearms charges related to a motorcycle club whose members carried out home-invasion robberies in Berks and Schuylkill counties. Mohammed Zeidan, 36, was convicted on Sept. 5, 2025, of conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act robbery, attempted Hobbs Act robbery and firearms conspiracy following a four-day trial before Senior United States District Judge Robert D. Mariani. The Hobbs Act prohibits actual or attempted robbery or extortion affecting interstate or foreign commerce. Zeidan was later blamed by the other conspirators for the failure of the August 29, 2020, attempted robbery. Members of the conspiracy later committed additional armed home-invasion robberies in Mahanoy City, Schuylkill County, and Shillington, Berks County.
