Charles City Elks Lodge is hosting its second-ever “Beer Curling Championship” this Saturday (01.31), as part of Cabin Fever Weekend in Charles City. Elks Exalted Ruler Zach Sullivan says Beer Curling is similar to the curling you’ve seen on TV during the Olympics…kind of. Sullivan says last year’s first “Beer Curling” event was so popular, they’re expanding the competition on Elks Lake from three lanes to six this weekend.
