According to UMS, 14 of its researchers were listed in the Single Year Citation Impact category for 2024, while six others appeared in the Career-Long Citation Impact category. UMS Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Kasim Hj Mansor described the milestone as proof that the university is on par with the world’s leading research institutions. Among those listed under the Single Year Citation Impact category are Prof Dr Hanudin Amin, Dr Teo Siow Hwa, Prof Dr Jason Teo Tze Wi, Prof Ts Dr Zainul Amiruddin Zakaria and Assoc Prof Dr Christophe Patrice Andie Wiart. Also recognised were Prof Dr Md Shafiquzzaman Siddiquee, Dr Noora Barzkar, Assoc Prof Ts Dr Rovina Kobun, Prof Ir Dr Rosalam Hj Sarbatly, Prof Dr Md Lutfor Rahman, Assoc Prof Dr Shigeharu Sato, Prof Ts Dr Uda Hashim, Prof Dr Rayner Alfred and Dr Nurul Elyani Mohamad. Meanwhile, those listed in the Career-Long Citation Impact category include Prof Ts Dr Zainul Amiruddin Zakaria, Assoc Prof Dr Christophe Patrice Andie Wiart, Prof Dr Jason Teo Tze Wi, Prof Dr Md Shafiquzzaman Siddiquee, Prof Ir Dr Rosalam Hj Sarbatly and Prof Dr Md Lutfor Rahman.
