St. Charles Health System announced Community Benefit grants of more than $143,000 to 34 local organizations in Central Oregon on Wednesday. The grants were awarded to provide basic needs, sponsor local events and as part of St. Charles’ Priority Grant to increase a sense of belonging and reduce loneliness and isolation. “I want to give a big thank you to St. Charles because this will be a huge help for the nonprofit. Unity4Inclusion is also partnering with High Desert Self Advocacy Group to help individuals with disabilities learn skills to better advocate for themselves.
