MIDDLETON, Idaho — Part of the Phillips Ranch property is the site of Boise River Flood Control District No. Erosion, water quality benefitsThe project on the Phillips property, between Star and Middleton, treated about 360 linear feet on the river’s north bank. The Phillips project helps to keep the riverbank from eroding into the main channel, which improves water quality, Zirschky said. Water quality is a river-wide concern due in part to drains that return post-irrigation water to the river, he said. The Phillips project was one of eight flood management grants approved statewide last July.
