The Hull Fire Department responded to a 2-alarm fire Tuesday afternoon, narrowly avoiding injuries while taking down a strong blaze. Fire Chief Christopher Russo said firefighters arrived at 28 Berkley Road around 2 p.m. Departments from Hingham, Scituate, Norwell, Marshfield, and Cohasset responded to provide mutual aid, according to Russo. Russo told the Herald that one of the mutual aid firefighters fell from the first floor to the basement while working on the fire but managed to avoid injury. He commended the firefighters for preventing damage to nearby residences who “did a tremendous job.”
