Allegra Edwards has joined the cast of the CBS comedy pilot “Eternally Yours” in a lead role, Variety has learned.
Edwards will appear in the pilot alongside previously announced cast members Ed Weeks and Jaren Lewison.
The single-camera show was picked up to pilot at the broadcaster in July, while CBS had originally opened a development room for the show in mid 2024.
Liz and Charles, whose love was the stuff of romance novels, are now stuck in the fifth century of a mundane, interminable marriage.
Port and Wiseman are writers and executive producers on “Eternally Yours.” Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang also executive produce.
