An Ofsted inspection of a Bristol secondary school which called off a visit from a pro-Israel, Jewish MP has found the institution is “politically impartial”. Bristol Brunel Academy earlier this month scrapped a planned talk by Damien Egan, MP for Bristol North East and member of Labour Friends of Israel, after pressure from pro-Palestine activists. The NEU's Bristol branch posted at the time of the cancellation: "MP Damian Egan’s planned school visit .. this Friday has been cancelled after concerns were raised by the NEU trade union staff group, parents and local constituents. “This is a clear message: politicians who openly support Israel's genocidal assault on Gaza are not welcome in our schools.”
