SIKESTON — Sikeston firefighters cut through a bedroom wall to rescue a trapped resident as flames engulfed a home late Tuesday, Jan. 27. “Officers arriving on the scene reported heavy flames coming from the front of the residence, and there were still occupants inside,” said Sgt. Other personnel were able to make a bigger opening in the bedroom wall in order to extricate the occupant. “South Scott County Ambulance District assisted us with the other two occupants who self-extricated themselves from the residence,” Rowe said. “We would like to thank the South Scott Ambulance District personnel for their assistance with the medical treatment of all the occupants.
