Tate Reeves said Wednesday that three people died in Tate County as a result of the massive storm that moved through the region over the weekend. The other four deaths occurred in Leflore, Alcorn, Hinds, and Tishomingo Counties. The governor on Wednesday also said that emergency crews are continuing to work to clear major interstates, especially on I-55 and I-22. “Doing so makes the situation worse and harder for emergency crews to do their job,” he said. There are approximately 117,800 without power, Reeves said, down from a high of about 180,000.
