A visiting American is offering a US$500 reward for information leading to the recovery of a cat that was accidentally released near the Crossroads Centre in Willoughby Bay, according to animal welfare group Paaws Antigua. The organization said it received a call Tuesday morning from the visitor, who had completed all required paperwork and made arrangements to take the cat to the United States. A mix-up, however, resulted in the animal being released before travel plans were finalized. If the cat can be safely caught, members of the public are encouraged to do so. The organization is appealing to the public to share the information widely in hopes of reuniting the cat with its intended owner.
