Russia’s escalating threats towards NATO member states, especially along the Eastern flank, demand utmost seriousness. Senior Russian officials and state media openly speculate about possible aggression against Baltic states and Poland, heightening regional anxiety. The Baltic states are considered likely targets due to their geographic proximity and symbolic importance. A formal US-EU coordination mechanism dedicated to security, trade, and technology is urgently needed to improve early consultation, synchronize policies, and prevent damaging surprises.
