RCMP are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 30-year-old Vermilion man who was found deceased in his home earlier this week. According to Vermilion RCMP, officers were called to a residence on 52 Avenue at about 12:12 p.m. on Jan. 21, where the man was located dead inside the home. The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken carriage of the investigation, with assistance from the Lloydminster RCMP Forensic Identification Section. RCMP say a man was arrested at the scene but has since been released. The investigation remains ongoing, and police say further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
