Edwardsburgh-Cardinal Township officials say they shared local priorities and continued important conversations at this week’s Rural Ontario Municipal Association Conference. Mayor Tory Deschamps and council, along with Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark met with provincial representatives during the event in Toronto. Meetings included discussions with Minister Todd McCarthy, Ministry of Infrastructure, and Rudy Cuzzetto, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Energy and Mines. They say they focused on long-term economic development and the infrastructure needed to support it. The three day conference wrapped up on Tuesday.
