Huntsville has launched the BetterHomes program to help homeowners improve energy efficiency and reduce monthly utility costs through energy-efficient retrofits. According to town officials, the $10-million program is designed to help minimize the impact of rising energy prices on homeowners. “We’re helping Huntsville residents lower their utility bills, improve home comfort, and contribute to a more sustainable future. Additionally, homeowners may qualify for additional incentives of up to $5,000 for projects that maximize energy efficiency or eliminate fossil fuels. “Energy efficiency retrofits help us keep bills low while building a more sustainable future.
