Curling Day in Canada and the Huntsville Curling Club’s 125th anniversary are fast approaching, and the club is marking the milestone with a community celebration and the official launch of a new Crokicurl rink at River Mill Park. The event will take place on January 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where community members can try out the Crokicurl rink, meet members of the Huntsville Curling Club (HCC), and snap photos with a giant inflatable curling stone. The rink is a partnership between the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce, the Huntsville BIA, and the HCC. The HCC says the event was created to “entertain, educate, and thank” Huntsville and surrounding communities for their continued support. “The Curling Club is not just a sports facility; it is a place to gather, connect, and honour a great Canadian tradition.”
