The Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department responded to a record number of calls in 2025. Fire Chief Ron Richert went over the numbers at Tuesday (Jan 27) night’s City Council meeting. He said there 856 calls in 2025. That was up from 829 in 2024, 745 in 2023, 724 in 2022, 643 in 2021 and just 443 in 2020. Richert also went over the types of calls that led to such an increased workload.
