A man and his granddaughter have died in a Saturday night house fire on Nahma Rd., just south of Cochrane off Hwy. Cochrane fire chief Richard Vallée says his department was called shortly before 9:30 and found the home fully engulfed. Due to the rural area, firefighters had to set up a tanker shuttle operation to supply water. Chief Vallée says damage to neighbouring homes is minimal. The chief says never in his career has he seen three fully involved structure fires within a 24-hour period.
