A large quantity of drugs are off local streets. According to the OPP, members of the Peterborough/Northumberland OPP Community Street Crime Unit began an investigation involving the trafficking of cocaine and fentanyl within the Peterborough area in early December. As a result of this investigation, OPP officers, along with the Peterborough Police, executed three separate search warrants at three different locations in Peterborough on Jan. 20. Seven people were arrested, according to police, and a large quantity of drugs and cash was seized.
