The developer behind a proposed 5-storey apartment building on Joseph Street is looking to make a minor adjustment to the project. Town officials say plans for the development of a 91-unit apartment complex and restaurant at 12-14 Joseph Street will be discussed by the Town’s Committee of Adjustment on Jan. 21. Officials say the developer is looking for a height exemption to allow for the apartment building to be 19.8 metres, instead of the permitted 16.8 metres. The project, which was pitched to council in March 2025, would be located on a 1.6-acre vacant parcel of land at 12 and 14 Joseph Street, north of the high school. An electronic public meeting to discuss the proposed amendments will be held on Jan. 21 at 6 p.m.
