Cold Lake city council approved a $10,000 sponsorship for next year’s Xtreme Bulls and Broncs event with hopes that the event builds off of its success and works towards sustainability. “Large events in a small town often need help getting started,” said Mayor Bob Mattice. “Last year’s event was a tremendous start, and we look forward to seeing how the 2026 event grows from initial success in 2025. The materials used for the 2025 event can be reused in 2026 and future years, needing only minor top-ups. As a result the level of support needed is expected to decrease as the event gains popularity within the region.
