Alberta Health Services is advising the community of a possible measles exposure in the North Zone. AHS said a person with confirmed measles was at the emergency department at St. Therese – St. Paul Healthcare Centre while contagious. The potential exposure occurred between about 12 a.m. on Dec. 17 and about 2:10 a.m. on Dec. 18. On lighter skin, the rash appears red and blotchy. On darker skin, it may appear purple or darker than the surrounding skin or may be difficult to see.
