Stratford Public Library hopes to get residents to try out new books through blind dates and play dates with books. According to the library, the idea is readers get introduced to books and genres they haven’t tried before. Library Community Engagement Supervisor Brandi Gillett said the goal is to get readers to discover something new. “There’s different genres wrapped and a small description, if you like it, you take it home and it’s a surprise. The library added the wrapped books include ballot forms, and you can fill them out for a chance to win a prize through a draw.
