Santa Barbara Airport recorded the highest passenger footfall in 2025, with nearly 1.5 million passengers traveling, making it the busiest year in the airport’s history. According to figures released by Santa Barbara Airport, passenger traffic has steadily increased in recent years. The increase in passenger traffic was supported by continued efforts to expand the airport’s air service network, Santa Barbara Airport said in a statement. Besides the highest footfall, Santa Barbara Airport has also received the Community Impact Award from the Santa Barbara Coast Chamber of Commerce for its role in the local economy and community development. Santa Barbara Airport is moving forward with a new pedestrian crosswalk to better connect the terminal with public transportation.
