He described the recurring failures as a serious concern, noting the contrast between Nigeria’s struggling power sector and other countries. Obi pointed out that while President Tinubu is currently on a foreign visit to Turkey, a nation of 87 million people, Nigeria continues to grapple with electricity shortages. He highlighted that Turkey generates over 120,000 megawatts of electricity, compared to Nigeria’s struggling supply of less than five percent of that capacity.
