A FOREST councillor has urged for action after residents’ homes were flooded during Storm Chandra. As reported, heavy rain caused huge disruption to travel across the area yesterday (Tuesday), with trains cancelled, footpaths impassable and roads closed. In Bransgore, resident and district councillor Richard Frampton spent the day pulling motorists from floodwater and distributing sandbags to homes. He says something must be done by Hampshire County Council to address drainage in the village. The Fernhill Lane site sent pupils home after the incident, which saw police temporarily close the road.
