A bipartisan group of state lawmakers is proposing that the Maryland Stadium Authority be tasked with making sure the state has a sufficient supply by building new power facilities or reopening old ones. Maryland State Sen. Christopher West, who represents parts of Baltimore and Carroll counties, said the MSA has the ability to supply new power facilities. “The stadium authority has the manpower. “As soon as Maryland goes dark, as soon as it happens, the world is going to change. Everybody in Maryland is going to be focused on this like a laser beam,” West said.
