Gassville City Council approves 2026 budget, discusses UTVs and state street funding

The Gassville City Council held its first meeting of 2026 Tuesday, with all members present for a session lasting one hour and 50 minutes.
The council also reviewed Ordinance 2025-14, which would allow utility task vehicles (UTVs) to operate on city streets under the authority of Act 922 of 2025.
Under new business, the council unanimously approved the 2026 budget under Resolution 2026-01 and reconciled the 2025 budget under Resolution 2026-02.
Council members also unanimously approved Resolution 2026-03 supporting the state-run federal property surplus program.
City Administrator also updated council members on state aid street funding, reporting that the city received $400,000 to pave 1.68 miles across five streets.
