Fans of DCI Silva and DI Longacre have reason to celebrate today, as filming on the third season of the BBC hit Vigil has seemingly wrapped. The show's star Suranne Jones has announced that upcoming episodes of the acclaimed police procedural thriller are now in the can. Writer Tom Edge said at the time of the third series' announcement: “I’m delighted that Suranne and Rose are returning for a new adventure. Reviewing season two, PerthNow said: "There’s something to be said for a serviceable police procedural featuring characters who know how to do their jobs. "It's claustrophobic, energetic, gripping and fast paced, one of the best shows the BBC have out out in quite a while."
