Next week, the trial of Marius Borg Høiby, the son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, is set to begin.
He faces charges of rape, abuse in close relationships, acts of violence, making death threats, assaulting a public official, and more.
The case has a maximum prison time of 10 years if he is found guiltyIn anticipation of the trial, his stepfather, Crown Prince Haakon, released his longest statement yet on Høiby’s alleged crimes.
