The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre has partnered with Georgian College to offer a virtual option for museum tours. “Partnering with Georgian College allows us to extend the museum beyond our physical walls, through use of this technology,” Museum Director Cathy McGirr said in a Jan. 28 news release. Desktop and mobile devices are the optimal way to explore the new platform, the release said. “We’re proud to partner with the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre to help bring this virtual museum experience to life,” said Rob Theriault, immersive technology manager at Georgian College, in the release. The virtual museum is now live and available to the public at brucemuseum.ca.
