The local government councils of Edu and Ifelodun in Kwara State have each declared a 24-hour curfew in certain communities as part of intensified security measures against banditry and kidnapping. In separate announcements, both councils stated that during the curfew, all human and vehicular movement in the affected areas is strictly prohibited. The measure is intended to support ongoing security clearance operations in the region.
